Course Title: Natural Hazards Risks and Recovery
Course Description: The presentation provides a platform for participants to evaluate certain natural hazard risk in relation to the federal Public Assistance program. Participants are provided an opportunity to relate the risks presented promoting organizational financial and operational readiness.
Session 2: 10:00 am to 11:50 am
Course Title: Grants 101
Course Description:
The Grants 101 presentation will provide knowledge of the Grant Life Cycle and the federal requirements. The Grant Life Cycle consists of pre-award, award, post-award, closeout, and post-closeout cycles. In December 2013, 2 CFR Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, mandated for all recipients of Federal grants to follow. The grant's administrative requirements are more stringent today and, if not followed, could cost your agency to absorb the costs or audit findings.
